Hello
Panthers! My Name is Mr. Guerra and I am one of the Agricultural Science
Instructors. Welcome to the FFA! The best youth organization in the
world… possibly the best in the Universe! In the FFA we use agriculture
as our tool to prepare students for premier leadership, personal growth and
career success! I came from a agriculture based family so I understand it
very well! I also have high expectations of the Pioneer Valley FFA!
Remember that while people dream of worthy accomplishments, winners are awake
accomplishing them! So come with me and get ready for the lifelong
learning of the FFA!

I
am Mr. Ponce, the new face in the Agriculture Department. I am excited to be here as a Panther. I grew up in Santa Maria and graduated from
the Santa Maria High School FFA Program in 2001. While in high school I took advantage of
every opportunity that FFA and High school had to offer from Freshmen B.I.G,
Creed, Opening Closing Ceremonies Contest, Job Interview, Prepared Public
Speaking, Land Judging, and Livestock Judging.
At the Santa Barbara County Fair I exhibited mostly sheep and one
pig. I was super competitive in
showmanship receiving honors. I was
lucky enough to be an officer every year of my involvement in the FFA. I participated in Project Competition,
proficiency awards, and leadership positions at the Regional and State
Level. I am eager and excited to bring a
culture of involvement, excitement, energy, and passion. Every one of you has enormous opportunity to
develop as a leader through the premier leadership, personal growth, and career
success model. Get involved, take a
risk, and dedicate yourself to being great and you will see how much fun
learning and competing can be. Let’s
have a great year Panthers!

Hey all you Panthers. I am very eager to get this year started. It looks to be our best year yet. Remember, if you want to build lifelong memories you have to get involved. Try a public speaking contest or judging team. Travel to new livestock shows and leadership events. It really doesn’t matter what you do, only that you do something. My goal this year is to build on last year’s successes with the specialty animals judging team and rabbit SAE projects. I also hope to have the Veterinary Science class ready for next year.
